DUBAI, UAE, 8 February 2022: Dr Adel Husain of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) has confirmed his participation in the 6th edition of the World IEQ Forum, on March 16 at the Sweden Pavilion of the World Expo in Dubai. He will be joined by Dr Iyad Al-Attar, a senior, globally acclaimed air filtration consultant, with a vast track record of IAQ-related projects in Kuwait and in other parts of the GCC region.
Produced by CPI Industry, publishers of Climate Control Middle East magazine, the World IEQ Forum is a mission-critical conference that brings together policymakers; regulators; civil, structural and MEP disciplines; architects; healthcare professionals; and building owners in aviation, education, healthcare, hospitality, retail and other sectors.
It typically addresses a broad sweep of Indoor Environmental Quality issues, but the 6th edition, to be held against the backdrop of the protracted pandemic, will seek to specifically address IAQ issues with a view to advancing the understanding of design, installation and O&M strategies and solutions in the built-environment.
Dr Husain is a research scientist and Division Director of Operation at the Energy and Building Research Center (EBRC) at KISR. Dr Al-Attar is a mechanical engineer. He is a Visiting Academic Fellow in the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing at Cranfield University, in the United Kingdom. Dr Al-Attar’s area of expertise is the performance of high-efficiency pleated filters for HVAC and land-based gas turbine applications, with special emphasis on the chemical and physical characterisation of airborne particles.
“Kuwait’s presence in the World IEQ Forum through Dr Adel and Dr Iyad is a wonderful development, for it not only gives a pan-GCC-region perspective to the event but also provides an opportunity to listen to a fount of specialised expertise and experience on such subjects as energy efficiency and Indoor Air Quality, specifically the science and technology of air filtration,” said Surendar Balakrishnan, Co-Founder & Editorial Director, CPI Industry. “It is important to as much receive a granular perspective on the challenges at hand and to listen to the array of sophisticated solutions to combat COVID-19.”
To date, the 6th edition of the World IEQ Forum has attracted confirmation of participation from a galaxy of prominent GCC region-level and international speakers. It is co-hosted by Systemair and will see participation from ASHRAE, Eurovent Middle East, Camfil and Condair, amongst others.
