More than 30 stakeholders signed a letter to President Donald Trump requesting the administration to send the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol to the Senate, AHRI says
Arlington, Virginia, USA, 24 June 2018: The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) announced, in a Press communiqué, that its joint efforts with the Alliance for Responsible Atmospheric Policy has resulted in a significant number of recent media reports about support for submitting the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol for consideration to the United States Senate.
According to AHRI, more than 30 stakeholders signed a letter to President Donald Trump requesting the administration to send the Kigali Amendment to the Senate; 13 Republican senators have requested the same. The communiqué said that both of these were positive steps towards building the case to submit the Amendment this year.
