iMatter CSR programme focuses on getting STEM resources into less-well-funded schools in the UAE, says company representative
Ayman Zain

Dubai, UAE, 4 April 2018: Taqeef has asked students to develop a plan for a sustainable city on Mars, including heating and cooling, said Ayman Zain, Sales Manager, Taqeef, outlining the scope of activities under iMatter, a CSR programme spearheaded by the company. “iMatter,” Zain said, “focuses on getting science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) resources into the less well-funded schools in the UAE. For companies like Taqeef, who operate in the science, technology and engineering space, it’s really important we invest in the future of the industry and the region.”

The aim of the programme, he explained, is to encourage more students to consider careers in STEM subjects, “ultimately inspiring and empowering the leaders of tomorrow”. Taqeef volunteers, Zain said, took part in the lessons to deliver the programme in schools throughout UAE. “It’s been a very rewarding experience for us as staff to give something back,” he said, “and the energy, enthusiasm and talent of the children has been inspiring.”
