Arlington, Virginia, USA, 22 February 2018: The Air-conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) last week presented Policy Leadership Awards to state honourees in Utah and California, the organisation said in a Press communiqué. Utah State Representatives, Mike Schultz and Ed Redd received the award for their work on water heater regulations in the state, the communiqué said.
According to AHRI, Schultz and Redd were instrumental in fixing a critical error in the regulations, as well as ensuring that distributors were able to sell non-compliant equipment that was manufactured before the implementation date. The communiqué also said that California State Senator, Ricardo Lara was honoured for his work to provide incentives for the replacement of less-efficient wood-burning equipment with more efficient equipment.
