Incumbent says he will work towards further developing the association’s structure and activities
Alex Rasmussen

France, May 25: Eurovent (Europe’s Industry Association for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling and Food Cold Chain Technologies) has extended the term of its president, Alex Rasmussen, for another year. The decision was made during the association’s 60th annual meeting on May 18 in Versailles, France.

According to Eurovent, the usual presidential term of the association is two years; however, Rasmussen who was elected as President in May 2015, now has an extended term for another year.  The association has also elected Naci Sahin as First Vice President.

Following the decision, Rasmussen said: “It is an honour for me to serve our European industry family for another year. I thank all members for the continued support and trust in my work. Together with my fellow board members, I will do my utmost to further develop the association’s structure and activities following our statement of principles, while strengthening the unity of our industry in Europe and abroad.”

Born in 1948, in Denmark, Rasmussen has held various positions in the refrigeration and ventilation sector. Since 1998, he has been CEO of Systemair (Denmark), until becoming senior advisor to the Systemair Group, earlier this year.
