Programme to provide professional capacity building, with certification, for the industry to retrofit existing buildings to be more energy-efficient.

Dubai, UAE: Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC) has said in its newsletter that it introduced its upcoming Building Retrofit Training (BRT) programme at the Annual Retrofit Tech Summit, held on March 21. The presentation, the council said, was delivered by Technical Officer Tara Tariq and served as an informative promo to the programme.

The BRT, the council explained, is a training programme based on the ‘EmiratesGBC Technical Guidelines for Retrofitting Existing Buildings’, which would likely be officially launched in Q2 2017. The programme, it revealed, will provide professional capacity building, with certification, for the industry to retrofit existing buildings to be more energy-efficient. The council also mentioned that candidates for the BRT workshops are comprised of a broad range of stakeholders, including building owners, end-users and operators.

To register, EmiratesGBC has provided the following contact information: eep@emiratesgbc.org.
