Dubai, UAE: Leminar Air Conditioning Company has inaugurated its Central Logistics Centre at Ras Al Khor Industrial Area, in Dubai. The inauguration, the announcement said, was attended by H.E. Hisham Al Shirawi, Vice Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Member of the Board of Directors of Al Shirawi Group, and Navin M Valrani, CEO of Leminar Air Conditioning Company.
Spreading over an area of 168,000 square feet, with a capacity of 7,531 pallet slots, the announcement said that the facility is one of the largest of its kind in the country for the HVAC market, and can accommodate a stock inventory worth up to AED 100 million.
The distribution company revealed that the Logistics Centre is controlled by an Oracle-based Warehouse Management System (WMS), which allows Leminar to plan, track, monitor and prioritise deliveries in an efficient manner, improve labour productivity and maximise space utilisation.
Jason D Matos, Corporate Manager of Logistics, Leminar Air Conditioning, said: “The second phase of technology upgrade is planned, which will add several more intelligent features like ageing stock identification, quantity recommendations for fast moving products and paperless picking. We are increasingly investing in latest technologies to streamline our operations and ensure speedy distribution.”
“The market is evolving quickly and companies that do not plan their strategy ahead are going to be irrelevant,” said Pramodh Idicheria, General Manager, Leminar Air Conditioning Company. “By expanding our storage facility and distribution channels, and through new partnerships and acquisitions, we are confident of establishing a stronger presence over the regional HVAC industry,” he added.
In addition to the Central Logistics Centre in Ras Al Khor, Leminar has a 29,000 square feet facility in Mussafah, in Abu Dhabi, and five showrooms spread across the UAE.
