Flamco BV, based in the Netherlands, claims to have recently designed and manufactured the largest microbubble air and dirt separator that they have ever produced. The giant Flamcovent, the manufacturer says, has a DN 1400 connection and stands some five metres tall.
The company lists the following product features and benefits:
- Using the Flamco-patented Pall Ring technology to remove air bubbles as small as 10-20 μm (as tested at the University of Antwerp) and dirt particles, the vessel also incorporates the unique Flamco Dual Zone Flow Diversion technology, which ensures that the pressure drop is minimal.
- Using the three proven technologies for air and dirt removal, coalescence, flow speed reduction and pressure reduction, the Flamcovent series boasts of a high level of efficiency.
- The same technology is used across the product range and sizes, be it for domestic installations or huge district cooling plants.
