Dubai, UAE, 7 November 2018: The Museum of the Future uses generative design, an AI concept, which is a design-specific data analytics concept, highlighted Anwaar Al Shimmari, Director, Design Department, Chief Innovation Officer, Ministry of Infrastructure Development (UAE), during the International Conference for Sustainable Materials, held in Dubai. Elaborating, she said that The Museum of the Future is the first structure to use the AI concept. “With reference to infrastructure, we have automation and construction technology in place, however, there is a growing need for professionals in the construction space to define the various uncertainties that may arise in a situation,” she added.  Elaborating, she said that the Ministry of Infrastructure Development in the United Arab Emirates is the first to invent and design a customised humanoid robot, which uses AI for predictive analyses.

“The robot can be used in the design stage of a project, in its execution and even in the planning and maintenance stage of a building,” asserted Al Shimmari. Elaborating, she said, ideally, in the project-planning stage we focus on benchmarking and then go on to identifying the needs and requirements to fulfil a project. She added, “We try and understand how best the robot can use AI in facilities management and in asset management.”
